Creative Mash is a series of fun creative learning programmes for 5–11 year kids. Our workshops full of fun, imagination and creativity focus on drama, crafts, dance and film.

Creative Mash Kids spend their holidays exploring creativity, sharing ideas, building friendships & making things. Under the coaching of our professional team of teachers coming from various theatre and art backgrounds kids will not only enjoy this experience but they will also build their confidence.

Each week will finish with a fabulous and energetic performance for families and friends to watch.

Children are divided into Creative Mash levels, but please note the age is just aguidance and your child might be moved into a different level depending on their abilities.

All children need to bring both packed lunch, snack; and a bottle of drink. Please make sure kids have enough food to get them through a busy day.

What to wear

Please wear comfortable clothes for indoor activities; bear in mind we might do some stretches, so no tight jeans please.

Artwork might be messy sometimes, please bring clothes that might get stained.

Costumes for the performance will be decided during the week (no need to buy anything new)

In nice weather we will visit the local park for lunch, walks and for fun filming projects; please make sure your child has a warm jacket and socks in colder days; comfortable shoes for walking and running around, and you can pack sun protection for summer months.

End Of Week Showcase

The showcase will be on the last day of the workshop at 3pm; family and friends are very welcome to attend. The showcase is usually 30 minutes. There might be cases when we don’t organize a showcase due to the majority of children attending on a drop in basis. If this is the case children will still receive a short film from the week.

Early Drop In

The creative workshops run from 10am-4pm but we are offering to provide a pre-activity session for children of working parents from 9am. This time will be made up of some creative games, artwork and play (no extra charge for an early drop in).

The team at Creative Mash are looking to extend their holiday activities to weekly term time sessions. These workshops would cover a range of dramatic techniques including improvisation, mime, text work, movement, character development and much more. Confidence building and having a platform to explore creativity is at the heart of what we do at Creative Mash and these amazing sessions would encourage the development of our young people on a weekly basis. We are looking to our Creative Mash families to register their interest and let us know if they would love to be involved. Currently we are looking to run two hour-long workshops with different age-banding taking place at Stoke Newington School. Please get in touch with us and let us know your thoughts and ideas, we want to build this project around the wonderful community that makes up Creative Mash!

Suggested Dates:

Please let us know if you are interested, and what days you are available. We can organise our classes either any day after school or Saturday mornings.
