Newington Dance Space is a new studio in the pleasant area of Stoke Newington Church Street area, just opposite Clissold park. ( not that pleasant area of building site next to us. No worries, we know it will beautiful soon!)

Currently we are actively seeking to build a network of teachers

and dance companies who can:

· Run workshops and courses in all forms of dance, movement and health

· Contribute to the life of NDS or develop original work

Our vision:

· to promote dance, movement and performing arts;

· to promote the creative potential of  young choreographers, emerging dance companies, dance students and dancers from amateur to professional level

· to encourage people of all ages to take part in art, dance, community activities and projects that promote education and wellbeing

Studio founded by Dana Kolesarova and Amandine Vighi

October 07—December 07

NDS is open to public; first classes and rehearsals are taking place.

January 08

Launch of Children and Youth  performance groups

February 08

Launch of resident dance company: Newington Collective

First performance in Hackney Empire; Children, Youth and Collective taking part

March 08

Work in Progress/Sharing monthly open evenings for emerging choreographers and dance companies

April 08

Newington Collective international Tour to Slovakia—14 artsits ranging from dancers, choreographers, actors and musicians visited Slovakia as a part of international exchange

May 08-June 08

At the moment we have 19 regular classes in the studio; still looking for more dance teachers starting from September.

Our children and Youth are getting ready for performances at Arsenal Stadium and London Bridge.

Newington Dance Space gets Stoke Newington dancing! Big Dance week is coming with free classes and events taking place in Stoke Newington! Dancers from all around the world will be involved!
